Power Money Fame Sex: A User's Guide. Forty Ways to Look at JFK. The Happiness Project. What do these diverse books have in common?
They explore an important aspect of my chief interest, human nature - and they each also reflect some additional interest of mine.
Power Money Fame Sex exploits the self-help format to amplify its shockingly blunt advice. Forty Ways plays with the limits and conventions of
biography to draw a portrait of John Kennedy. Profane Waste draws upon the power of photographs - by artist Dana Hoey - to heighten the shock of its content.
The Happiness Project tackles the memoir form.
