    1. Very glad to hear from a fellow KC person! Hmmmm…I’d assume that you can buy at the door, but I don’t know that for a fact. I’ll try to find out from Rainy Day Books.

      1. Thank you! I’m actually an Illinois transplant living in Des Moines, Iowa, but I enjoyed college trips to Kansas City!

  1. Blast no Raleigh, NC!? We have a great local bookstore, Quail Ridge Books, that would be a perfect setting for you!

  2. I’ll echo the other DC folks that you’ll be missed here. The district could use a little more happiness.

  3. I’m so thrilled!! Your new book is coming out just in time for my birthday and as we move into a new house! Hopefully it will help me out in setting it up to be a haven of happiness :) Please come anywhere upstate NY? Albany? Syracuse? (The City gives me a headache) but I will try and think of it as an adventure quest if not!

  4. Woohoo! Scanning the list for a San Francisco visit…and you’ll be just a couple blocks away from our apartment…yay!!!

Gretchen, for all the folks whose towns you cannot visit, please consider doing an author chat. They’re so fun, interactive and inclusive with

  5. any thoughts on upstate NY…you’re so close..yet for us it seems far:) Syracuse maybe….Utica may be silly, but Syracuse is good:) I got my Mommy Club book club reading your book so we can help each would be SO great to get you to autograph our books!!! and of course to meet you:)

  6. Please add DC to your tour! This city can definitely use a dose of happiness. Politics & Prose is a fantastic independent bookstore for readings.

  7. How about the Philadelphia / Wilmington, Delaware area…no one has mentioned that. I have single-handedly sold many of your previous (“Happiness Project”) books by: talking about how much I loved it, and by giving them as gifts. I saw/heard you at Terrain last year (garden and home shop near Philadelphia). Love you!
